Leigh Werrell
Leigh Werrell is an artist living and working in Philadelphia. She is currently represented by Gross McCleaf Gallery and has been an active part of the arts community for 14 years. She has also been included in exhibitions at establishments such as the Woodmere Art Museum, Bowery Gallery, and Tiger Strikes Asteroid, and attended the 2018 artist residency program at Vermont Studio Center.
She held the position of Art Sales Manager at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, working with students and with the Brodsky Center at PAFA’s residency program, marketing and selling artwork to support programming and artists. She has also worked with several other arts organizations and galleries, and was a founding board member of Philly Stewards, an organization with the goal of promoting Philadelphia as a leading art city and to assist and benefit Philadelphia area artists and collectors.
Her interviews and exhibition reviews can be found in Title Magazine and Philly Stewards publications. She is excited to be involved in Artwell’s mission of bringing the arts to Philadelphia’s next generations.
